About Prajeet Prabhakaran

Prajeet Prabhakaran is Regional Director for South India at the Commercial Section of the Embassy of Austria (ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA), based in Bengaluru. Since December 2025 Prabhakaran has supported Austrian companies entering and expanding in the Indian market, coordinated trade delegations and business missions, and acted as the interface between Austrian businesses and Indian government agencies, industry bodies and start-up ecosystems.

Before joining ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA, Prabhakaran was Lead Strategist for Trade Promotion and Investment Attraction (IT Start-ups and GCCs) with the Government of Kerala (2024-2025). From 2018 to 2024 Prabhakaran was Head of Corporate Relations and Global Market Access at Kerala Startup Mission, running its international market-access and corporate innovation programmes, and coordinating start-up delegations to more than 20 countries. Earlier roles include Territory Sales Manager at Idea Cellular.

Prabhakaran mentors start-ups through Startup India, NITI Aayog and CII's Centre of Excellence for Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Startups, and holds an MBA in Marketing from Amrita School of Business and a BTech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
