About Vishal Chugh
Vishal Chugh is Executive Vice President, Head Risk FRM at Tata Capital, responsible for risk and collections including fraud risk management, a role held since June 2025. Chugh joined Tata Capital in October 2019 as Executive Vice President and Head of the Debt Servicing Management Group.
Chugh has more than 28 years in banking, most of it in collections and fraud control. Before Tata Capital, Chugh spent ten years at Sammaan Capital as Senior Vice President and National Collection Head for mortgages, and nearly nine years at ICICI Bank, rising from Area Manager in the Risk Containment Unit to Zonal Head (North) for fraud control and National Product Head for unsecured loan recovery. Chugh began his career in 1997 in the credit cards division of Standard Chartered Bank.
In August 2026 Chugh received the Ethical and Most Respected Collection Leader of the Industry award at the Global LendTech and Collection Summit. Chugh holds a master's degree in sociology from Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University.
