About Sivakumar Selva Ganapathy
Sivakumar Selva Ganapathy is Vice President, Software Engineering at Johnson Controls, where he heads OpenBlue India software engineering and APAC solutions and is a Director on the board of Johnson Controls India Private Limited (JCIPL). Appointed in January 2022, he leads the engineering and innovation centres across the company's five campuses in India, delivering SaaS-based smart building, sustainability and energy-optimisation solutions on the OpenBlue platform.
Before Johnson Controls, Selva Ganapathy spent more than 15 years at Honeywell in IT and software engineering roles, including Global CIO for the connected buildings business and CTO for the SPS Connected Enterprise software organisation in Atlanta, and Director of IT for Automation and Control Solutions in Bengaluru. He also set up Honeywell's corporate applications centre in Madurai and began his career with Syntel.
He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Instrumentation from Annamalai University, completed the General Management Programme at IIM Bangalore and the CIO Leadership Programme at ISB Hyderabad, and is a certified corporate director accredited by the Institute of Directors.
