Shantanu Dasgupta is Head of Digital Initiatives, Treasury and Transaction Banking, at Axis Bank in Mumbai, leading digital transformation of the bank's treasury front office, including its Neo FX & Markets platform for clients. In August 2026 Dasgupta was named winner of the Excellence in Customer Experience award at UBS Forums' 3rd India FinTech Summit & Awards for the Neo FX & Markets platform, a recognition Dasgupta credited to the Axis treasury, digital and technology teams.
Dasgupta's work spans treasury digital platforms, robotic process automation for corporate banking client entitlement and onboarding, and data and AI governance in financial services, topics on which Dasgupta writes regularly. Earlier in his career Dasgupta worked in Capgemini's strategic research team and published a 2005 commentary on India's information security industry in SiliconIndia.
