About Praveen Bist
Praveen Bist is Chief Information Officer of Amrita Hospitals, responsible for IT strategy at the group's 2,600-bed Amrita Hospital in Faridabad, where he oversees the integrated hospital information system and electronic medical record that covers the patient journey from admission to discharge, along with analytics, automation, AI pilots and cybersecurity.
He has been with the Amrita organisation since 2004. He co-founded Amrita Technologies, led hospital information system deployments across India and headed Amrita Medical's expansion in the United States before taking up the CIO role. Earlier he spent six years, from 1998 to 2004, at i2 Technologies in Dallas, working on supply chain and ERP technologies, after starting his career as a process engineer at PTC.
He is an alumnus of IIT Delhi and Ohio State University, and moderates and speaks at healthcare IT forums on topics such as EMR implementation and AI in healthcare.
