About Mohamed Maliki

H.E. Mohamed Maliki is Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Morocco to India, based in New Delhi. He has represented Morocco in India since 2017 and has played an active role in strengthening Morocco–India relations across diplomacy, trade, investment, technology, education and cultural cooperation. The Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, currently lists him as Morocco's Ambassador in New Delhi.

During his tenure, Maliki has worked to expand economic and institutional engagement between the two countries, encouraging greater collaboration between Indian and Moroccan businesses and institutions. He has highlighted Morocco's strategic strengths in areas including automotive, aerospace, tourism, infrastructure and technology, while promoting the country as a gateway for investment and partnerships in Africa.

Technology and digital transformation have also become an important part of Morocco's engagement with India. Morocco participated in the 2026 AI Summit in New Delhi, with Maliki accompanying Morocco's Minister Delegate for Digital Transition and Administration Reform, Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni, as part of the country's delegation.

Maliki has also been involved in strengthening people-to-people and institutional connections between India and Morocco, including engagement with government leaders, business communities, academic institutions and industry delegations. His diplomatic work reflects Morocco's broader efforts to deepen its partnership with India and build cooperation across emerging areas of economic and technological development.
