About Harsh Vardhan
Harsh Vardhan is Global Head of AI and Digital Innovation at Apollo Tyres Ltd, a role he took up in June 2023. He leads the company's global digital innovation strategy, covering AI-led manufacturing, supply chain modernisation and Industry 4.0 programmes, and set up and scaled its Digital Innovation Hub in India. Work under him includes enterprise generative AI pilots with start-ups at T-Hub in Hyderabad, an in-house manufacturing reasoning tool and AI-based virtual compounding for R&D.
Before Apollo Tyres he was Chief Digital Transformation Officer for 'IDEA by Capgemini', the firm's data, AI and IIoT modernisation portfolio, from 2020 to 2023. From 2005 to 2019 he was at Cognizant, latterly as Associate Product Director and principal architect of its BigDecisions AI platform, after roles in big data analytics in London and as a data warehouse and BI architect in Singapore, the UK and the US.
He holds a postgraduate diploma in data science from IIIT Bangalore and completed an executive programme in digital transformation at the Indian School of Business.
