About Dipayan Chakraborty
Dipayan Chakraborty is Head of the India Analytics Center at eBay in Bengaluru, a role he took up in July 2025. The centre provides data science and analytics capabilities to eBay's business teams; under his leadership it has run AI-focused hack weeks and launched eBay Bengaluru BuildX, a technical forum for senior technologists.
Chakraborty has spent about two decades in analytics and data science, both as a consultant and as a leader of in-house analytics centres of excellence. Before eBay he was Partner and Associate Director for AI at Boston Consulting Group (2022 to 2025), Vice President of Data Science and Analytics at Copia Global, Head of Analytics and Business Intelligence at Myntra, where he led a team of about 45 data scientists and analysts and reported to the CEO, and Senior Director of Analytics at Flipkart. Earlier he was Assistant Vice President at HSBC and co-founded the analytics services firm TEG Analytics.
He holds an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad and a BSc from St. Xavier's College, Kolkata.
