About Avinash Naik
Avinash Naik is Chief Information Officer of Bajaj Allianz General Insurance, now Bajaj General Insurance, where he holds the rank of President and leads technology and digital transformation for the country's third-largest general insurer by gross written premium. He joined the company in May 2018 as Senior Vice President and Head of Technology and Digital Transformation, became President in April 2022 and was appointed CIO in December 2022. He also served as Head of Digital and Innovation at Bajaj Finserv from 2016 to 2022.
Under Naik, the insurer moved its core policy administration system to the cloud, built an API vault to speed partner integrations, launched AI-based chatbots on WhatsApp and a multilingual voice bot, and began a data platform modernisation programme. Earlier he was Senior Associate Vice President at ICICI Lombard (2012-2016) and spent twelve years at Infosys in India and the United States, rising from software engineer to senior client partner.
He holds a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Mumbai.
