About Anil Varma
Anil Varma (Anilkumar Varma) is Chief Technology Officer of Multi Commodity Exchange Clearing Corporation Limited (MCXCCL), the wholly owned clearing subsidiary of MCX and India's first clearing corporation in the commodity derivatives market. He has held the role since November 2021 and is responsible for the clearing corporation's technology, including its move to cloud-native clearing infrastructure, DevSecOps practices, cybersecurity and regulatory compliance systems.
Varma has more than 24 years of experience in financial technology and solution architecture. Before MCXCCL he was AVP and Enterprise Technology Architect at National Securities Depository Limited (2018-2021), Deputy General Manager and Solution Architect at Reliance Payment Solutions, working on Jio Payments Bank and JioMoney (2016-2018), Senior Technical Architect at L&T Infotech (2012-2016) and a technical architect at Tata Consultancy Services (2003-2011).
He holds an M.Tech in Computer Software Engineering from BITS Pilani (Work Integrated Learning) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Data Science from NISM. His recognitions include TechCircle's Digital Dynamo award (2025) and CTO of the Year at the NEXTECH Summit and Awards 2026.

Multi Commodity Exchange Clearing Corporation Limited (MCXCCL) is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Multi Commodity Exchange of India and the country's first clearing corporation in the commodity derivatives market. SEBI-recognised and based in Mumbai, it began operations in September 2018, guarantees settlement of all trades on MCX, manages margins and deliveries, and holds Qualifying Central Counterparty status.
