About Aneelkumar (Aneel) Savalagi
Aneelkumar (Aneel) Savalagi is Global Chapter Leader for Takeda's Innovation Capability Centre (ICC) within its Global Data, Digital & Technology (DD&T) organisation, based in Bengaluru. He is part of the India leadership team building Takeda's ICC India, working under the Innovation Capability Solutions and Services division alongside chapter leaders at Takeda's ICCs in Mexico and Bratislava.
He has over two decades in IT, including a decade establishing and scaling global capability centres. Before joining Takeda in January 2025 he was Global IT Engineering Leader at Giant Eagle's India GCC (2021-25), responsible for infrastructure, data engineering, cloud, DevOps, application engineering and IT operations, and before that Engineering Manager and then Senior Engineering Manager for IT infrastructure engineering at Lowe's India (2017-21). Earlier telecom roles were at BT Group, CenturyLink, Tata Communications Transformation Services, Nokia and ITI Ltd.
He holds an engineering degree and an MBA in Information Technology from Dr MGR Educational and Research Institute, Chennai, along with PMP, CISM and Lean Practitioner certifications, and has received a CIO 100 award.
