About Vijoy Basu
Vijoy Basu is Managing Director – AI within the Global Delivery team at State Street, with more than 27 years of experience across artificial intelligence, data analytics, technology leadership, and digital transformation. His work focuses on applying AI and data to enterprise transformation while building scalable technology and Global Capability Centre (GCC) capabilities.
Before joining State Street, Basu served as Global Director – Data Science & AI at Ferguson, where he led AI and data initiatives and contributed to building its Global AI Centre of Excellence. Earlier, he held leadership roles including SVP & Global Head – Enterprise Data & AI at Firstsource and Senior Director & Global Head – IT AI & Analytics at Cognizant. He also spent more than 16 years with GE, working across digital technology, data analytics, product management and digital transformation.
Basu's areas of expertise include Generative AI, Agentic AI, enterprise data and analytics, AI strategy, digital transformation and GCC development. He has also been recognised through industry awards and leadership programmes for his contributions to AI, data and technology transformation.
At State Street, Basu is part of the Global Delivery team and is contributing to the organisation's growing focus on AI-led transformation and agentic AI, with an emphasis on translating emerging technologies into meaningful enterprise and business outcomes.
